The Rahr-West Art Museum is getting ready to celebrate the reopening of the Vilas-Rahr Mansion and the closing of a very popular exhibit.

On Sunday, February 15th,  the museum, which just completed its 75-year celebration, will be holding an Open House.

Guests are invited to explore the new mansion exhibits while also taking in the “Keith Haring: Subway Drawings” exhibit for the final time in Manitowoc.

Assistant Director and Curator Diana Bolander will offer a tour of the mansion at 11:30 a.m., after which guests will have the chance to create a button inspired by Keith Haring’s iconography.

Also, as a part of the event, Alex Trimper, the President and Founder of Trimper Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut, will conduct a gallery walk of Subway Drawings, during which he will discuss the Haring Subway drawings and his future plans for exhibiting them.

This open house is free and open to the public.
