Cori Broadus, the daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, has announced the tragic passing of her baby daughter, Codi Dreaux.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, uploading a black and white photo of herself alongside her late child. She captioned the emotional image: “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”
Cori’s partner also paid tribute to their daughter on Instagram, writing: “I’ve been the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”
Snoop Dogg is yet to comment publicly on the tragic family bereavement. Cori had previously opened up about difficulties during her pregnancy, disclosing that her daughter was born three months early, according to the Mirror US.

In an Instagram post from February last year, she revealed: “The princess arrived at 6 months. Baby girl came at 25 weeks today, and she’s perfect as ever.”
She further shared in her story that she had an emergency caesarean after developing HELLP syndrome, a serious pregnancy-related condition, reports the Mirror.
Following her early birth, Codi spent 10 months in the NICU whilst doctors worked around the clock to improve her condition. There seemed to be encouraging signs earlier this month when Codi was eventually discharged from hospital.
According to the Mayo Clinic, infants delivered prior to 28 weeks’ gestation fall into the extremely preterm category and can encounter a range of health obstacles, from breathing problems to feeding issues and difficulty regulating body temperature. Half a year after Codi made her entrance into the world, Cori spoke candidly about the realities of NICU motherhood, describing her little one as feisty and resilient in spite of her fragile state.

She revealed to US Weekly: “That girl is so feisty. She’s so resilient and strong. She just has so much character… Yeah, the circumstances are not what you thought they would be, but it could be worse.”
Snoop’s sole daughter, Cori, has battled her own health struggles in recent times, suffering a “severe stroke” in 2024.
In conversation with US Weekly, Cori confessed, “What really got me close with God is after I had my stroke. I told him, ‘God, if you get me out of here, I’m gonna tell the world about y’all and tell the world you’re real.’ And He did exactly that. And He gets me through.”
At the tender age of six, she also received a lupus diagnosis.
Lupus represents an autoimmune disorder whereby the body’s immune system mistakenly targets healthy tissue rather than combating harmful bacteria and viruses. This triggers inflammation that can affect joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
Currently, no cure exists for this condition. Given that lupus affects multiple organs across the body, it can increase the risk of experiencing a stroke.
