Rathdubh, Swinford, Co. Mayo and formerly of Sweetwell, Swinford; London, UK; and Benghazi Lybia – peacefully at University Hospital Galway, on the 1st February 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband Paul and parents Rosa and Franz.
Bernardette will be deeply missed by her loving children, Chiara, Edward, Emily and Niamh, her sons-in-law Paul, David and Will, daughter-in-law Caroline, her adored grandchildren, Max, Rosa, Annie-Mae, Aria, Harry, Alfie, Casey and Poppy, her dear sisters Helen and Maggie, brothers Freddie, Anthony, John and Eddie, and all of her extended and much loved family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Boland’s Funeral Home, Swinford (F12K122) this Wednesday evening, 4th February from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock.
Funeral Mass this Thursday morning, 5th February at 11 o’clock in Our Lady Help Of Christians Church, Swinford, followed by a private cremation.
