Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (2 February), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey continues to pull the wool over Shona Platt’s eyes tonight, as she makes yet another manipulative move. It’s clear that the newcomer is harbouring lots of secrets about her past, but what is her endgame?
In today’s episode, Jodie overhears Shona on the phone, asking for the number of their dad’s school friend Bernard Bennett. Having lied to Shona about their dad’s controlling behaviour, Jodie is visibly concerned that her sister might track him down.
Meanwhile, Shona eagerly writes down the details and plans to call him later that day. When she leaves for the hospital, Jodie makes a call of her own to Bernard, whom she clearly already knows.
“Hiya Bernard, it’s me Jodie. Yeah, yeah, Dad’s fine,” she begins, before asking him for a “favour”. She goes on to ask if he remembers Shona.

Later, Shona introduces herself to Bernard over the phone, explaining that she had lost touch with her dad, Doug, and was hoping to reconnect. However, Bernard surprisingly claims that he has no information on Doug’s whereabouts.
“He said, apparently, they’ve not seen each other in years. Which is weird because they were best mates,” Shona tells David, while her secretive sister once again listens in.
Will Shona finally notice Jodie’s scheming behaviour, and what exactly is Jodie up to?

Speaking about the shady character, Corrie producer Kate Brooks promised that viewers will eventually learn all about Jodie’s past, as well as her mysterious connection to Emmerdale’s Graham Foster, who appeared to be holding her captive during the Corriedale crossover.
“We’ll find out exactly why she was in that van. We’ll find out what her link to Graham is,” she previously told Digital Spy. “From my time when I worked at Emmerdale, Graham was a character with a murky past who was capable of many things.
“For Jodie to be embroiled with somebody of that ilk sheds a light on what kind of character she is and what to expect.”
Brooks continued: “We will absolutely reveal what went on between them and what Graham’s role was in it all. Keep a lookout for it, because it’s a story that goes on to be really big as we get into spring and summer. There’s a lot of drama for the Platts coming up!”
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
