WASHINGTON (TNND) — Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited Cape Canaveral, Florida, as part of his “Arsenal of Freedom” tour.

While there, he visited NASA facilities and participated in an enlistment ceremony. He also stopped by the Blue Origin facilities and spoke about space defense with owner and former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

“This workforce—American workers, American manufacturing and American innovation—is ready to support the mission,” said Bezos. “We are so proud that you’ve selected Blue Origin to showcase what the Arsenal of Freedom looks like in the space age.”

Hegseth talked at length about the Pentagon’s deterrence through strength policies at each of his Cape Canaveral stops Monday. At Blue Origin, the secretary spoke about the importance of the partnership between the military and industry to ensure warfighting standards.

“We don’t care what name is printed on the side of the rocket,” he said at Blue Origin. “We just want the best.”

He went on to say that based on his tour of the Blue Origin facilities, the company will do “plenty of winning” in securing government contracts.
