There has been a request for action to be taken to ensure that drivers are made aware of a narrow bridge crossing.
Alexandra Bridge spans the River Liffey on the Sallins side of Clane and is on the principal route through both towns.

Independent councillor Pádraig McEvoy has referred to “the recurring damage to previous wall repairs” and has asked Kildare County Council about the options available to transport engineers “to make new repairs and alert vehicle drivers to exercise more caution.”
The three arch structure is 160 years old.
