Trans rights supporters welcome EU vote.
Fine Gael MEP Seán Kelly has reaffirmed his support for a European Parliament recommendation on the priorities for the ‘Status of Women’ that includes recognising trans women as women.
Mr Kelly told The Kerryman that he ‘was pleased’ to support the non-binding resolution voted for on February 12 that affirms women’s fundamental right to access essential services that promote equality and that protects them from violence.
