A new planet has been discovered by a Galway-based student.
Chloe Lawlor, a PHD student at the Centre for Astronomy at the University of Galway’s
Ryan Institute, says she originally thought the planet was a large clump of dust.
The new planet, named WISPIT 2C, is estimated to be five million years old and ten times the mass of Jupiter.
