Jimmy Kimmel returned from his lengthy annual summer break and tried to track down the origin of rumors over the weekend that President Donald Trump was sick or even dead.

Kimmel pointed out that the rumors began swirling when Trump hadn’t appeared in front of a camera in a few days.

“That’s how much he’s in front of a camera,” Kimmel said. “When we don’t see him there, we assume he must be dead.”

Trump insists he’s “never felt better,” and Kimmel dismissed the rumors.

“Despite the fact that he looks like a pumpkin that got left in a hatchback on a 100-degree day, he is definitely not dead,” Kimmel said.

As proof, Kimmel rolled footage of Trump in the Oval Office being asked about the rumors by a Fox News reporter in a very odd way.

“How did you find out over the weekend that you were dead?” Peter Doocy asked.

But it wasn’t Trump’s answer that caught Kimmel’s attention.

“Good old JD,” Kimmel said. “He hears the words ‘Trump dead,’ he lights up like a Christmas tree.”

“Donald Trump will never die,” he said. “Forget it. He’s like Dracula. He’s gonna keep sucking the life out of us forever.”
