Ruth Young inherited a farm in 2014 from her aunt with strict instructions to enjoy it and never let it become a burden.

Today, the 90ha (222ac) farm near Rathdowney, Co Laois includes 12ha of forestry but it has been the move to organics that has helped keep the farm viable and establish a healthy ecosystem producing quality food and preserving biodiversity for future generations.
