Virgin Media Television (VMTV) has confirmed that its highly anticipated reality entertainment format, The Neighbourhood, will premiere on Virgin Media PLAY and Virgin Media One on Friday, 24th April.
Hosted by BAFTA award-winning broadcaster Graham Norton, the new 11-part series will launch with a special bumper weekend, airing across three consecutive nights.
Episodes two and three will follow on Saturday, 25th April and Sunday, 26th April.
Set in the heart of the picturesque Peak District, the show promises more than meets the eye. While the village setting may look idyllic, the competition unfolding within it is anything but ordinary. Newly released images and a trailer offer a glimpse into what viewers can expect from this fresh take on reality television.
Next month on Virgin Media PLAY and Virgin Media One, viewers will be introduced to six real households from across the UK as they move in to ‘KeepYourEnemies Close’, and compete in a street-sized popularity contest where the last house standing will take home a life-changing £250,000.
This brand new 11-part series turns everyday life into a giant gameshow that’s authentic, immersive and rooted in real relationships. It marries high-stakes competition, epic challenges and relatable domestic drama, to offer a completely fresh flavour of reality.
In The Neighbourhood, it’s not about keeping up with the Joneses – it’s about beating them. Bring on the ding dong!
Among the highlights of the series is Graham Norton himself, acting as master of ceremonies, captured on location in the Peak District.
The competition takes place on ‘KeepYourEnemies Close’, a specially designed street featuring six colourful households, each assigned a distinct colour: Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, Orange and Purple.
Viewers will also get to know key locations within the village.
‘Room With A Brew’ serves as the central café where neighbours gather to plot, scheme and maintain alliances over a cup of tea. Meanwhile, ‘The Uppin Arms’ pub provides a more relaxed setting where contestants can unwind, challenge rivals to games like darts or pool, and quietly assess the competition.
At the centre of it all stands ‘The Neighbourhood Notice Board’, where the latest updates and community news are shared, ensuring no one is ever out of the loop.
With its mix of strategy, rivalry and real-life relationships, The Neighbourhood is set to bring a lively and competitive twist to the reality TV landscape this spring.
The Neighbourhood starts Friday 24th April, 9pm on Virgin Media PLAY & Virgin Media One.
