Tamzin Outhwaite was left heartbroken after accusing her husband, Tom Ellis, of ‘walking out’ on their seven-year marriage and two children.

The split followed Lucifer and Miranda star Ellis’s alleged confession of an affair in 2013 with Australian actress Emilie de Ravin.

The pain still clearly lingered for EastEnders and New Tricks star Tamzin, 54, who marked the tenth anniversary of their separation by claiming that she continued to discover further betrayals.

‘I still meet new people on jobs who reveal more infidelities and lies he committed,’ she alleged online.

Now, however, Ellis has spoken for the first time about the collapse of their marriage – and he appears to be channelling Edith Piaf’s classic song of defiance, Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien.

‘It’s easy to say you regret things, but actually no, I don’t regret anything,’ declares the Welsh actor, 46.

‘Every time I made a choice, or decided something, that’s how I was feeling at the time, I wasn’t pretending. I went into everything with great intentions.’

Ellis says of his American wife, screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer, with whom he has a surrogate daughter: ‘I met Meaghan at a time when it was impossible to hide my imperfections, and I was in a place where I was open to talk about my faults.’

He adds on the How To Fail podcast: ‘Life hadn’t gone how I thought it would. I was out of a marriage that didn’t work, and I think you learn a lot through that process.

‘Out of that hardship, I was a stronger, resilient person.’

He does, however, have reservations over one of his actions. ‘I became a US citizen at the worst possible time, unfortunately,’ he laments.

‘I love the States, but it is a strange time to be a US citizen. I’m terrified of the new administration and what they’re going to do.’

House Of Dragons’ Matt hankers after hotel life

Despite owning two properties in London’s fashionable Primrose Hill, Matt Smith can’t resist the allure of on-call butlers and breakfasts on silver trays.

‘One of my life’s addictions is hotels,’ he admits. ‘It’s a running joke. My accountant is like: “Matt, you’ve had your fun. Come on, you live in London.”‘ The actor, 42, reportedly worth £8million, adds: ‘I’m at Claridge’s all the time. I go back, me and my dog. They go: “Welcome home, Mr. Smith. Welcome home, Bobby.”‘

Claridge’s rooms start just shy of £1,000 a night. Mid-size suites climb past £6,000.

Matt, naturally, declines to reveal which keys he collects at reception.

Ellie Goulding says the recent anti-migrant protests have made her feel ’embarrassed’ to be British

Pop star Ellie Goulding declares she’s ’embarrassed to be a Brit right now’ following anti-migrant demonstrations at hotels housing asylum seekers.

Amid claims undocumented migrants pose a threat to the safety of women and children, the singer, 38, says she feels more unsafe among natives.

Writing online, she states: ‘The times I’ve been the most intimidated in London or anywhere else in UK, it involves those kinds of British men either after a night at the pub, post-boxing or football match.’

It was the film that won Dame Judi Dench Bafta and Golden Globe awards for her portrayal of Queen Victoria and her relationship with her devoted Scottish servant, John Brown, played by Sir Billy Connolly. Now, 28 years after Mrs Brown’s release, Dame Judi has revealed her chemistry with Sir Billy wasn’t confined to the screen. ‘Love happened,’ she admits. ‘I just completely fell for him — in the same way, I’m sure, she [Queen Victoria] did. He was just bliss.’

Before The Crown and Adolescence star Erin Doherty split up with fellow actress Sophie Melville in March, she declared that their seven-year relationship was her ‘proudest accomplishment’.

Now, Sophie’s new partner, Lee Braithwaite, hopes to accomplish something deeply personal, too – with your help.

Actor Lee, who appeared opposite Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in the 2024 film We Live In Time, has launched a Go Fund Me page appealing to the public to pay for gender reassignment treatment, including planned breast removal surgery this week. The fundraiser, breezily named ‘Lee’s titty chop fund’, has so far raised more than £1,400.

Lee explains: ‘I’m hoping to raise some funds to help me with the cost of the surgery/recovery.’

Oscar-winning lyricist Don Black, whose hit songs include Born Free and Diamonds Are Forever, was devastated when Shirley, his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, died in 2018. He says that walks in his local park in west London have acted as ‘therapy’. He has now written a song with French composer Jason Kouchak called A Walk In Holland Park. ‘It brought back those great memories of walking in the park, which I did with my late wife for many years, which made it more poignant,’ Black, 87, tells me.
