Ashley Roberts has shared what it was really like between David Haye and Adam Thomas.

The 44-year-old radio presenter appeared on Monday’s edition of This Morning to discuss her stint on the spin-off programme with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

Confessing that she found the entire experience “tough”, Ashley also offered her perspective on the tension between her I’m A Celeb campmates, David Haye and Adam Thomas.

Professional boxer David and Waterloo Road actor Adam recently made headlines as their exchanges became increasingly heated in camp. Recently, Adam took to social media to reveal that David “broke me in there”.

When questioned about what transpired on the pre-recorded series, Ashley, who shot to stardom as a member of The Pussycat Dolls, acknowledged that things escalated too far, reports Wales Online.

She explained: “Bless him, Adam was not feeling well in there, he was feeling quite ill, and David Haye just kept pushing and pushing.

“At first, you think it’s lads’ banter, but then it just went a bit too far. It was uncomfortable at times! Yeah, it was a bit.

“I think some of us girls actually went outside of camp and just took a moment to just breathe together.” She continued: “It was tough in there!”

ITV audiences were left furious by David’s conduct towards Adam on Friday’s episode, after he dismissed the former soap star’s inability to participate in the Termite Terror trial.

When Adam explained that he was unable to take part in the trial due to dehydration, David lost his cool and snapped, “Dehydrated? We’ve all got the same amount of water! Adam is doing it, and that’s it!

“When is your top form gonna come? Why aren’t we forcing this dude to go and do it? Coincidentally, every time there’s something to do, he’s not feeling well!”

On Sunday (April 19), Adam took to social media to share an extensive post regarding his experience on the programme.

Among his Instagram posts, he wrote: “What I’m most proud of is that at times like this, I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit, but I didn’t. Even when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! and that means everything to me.

“He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I’ve told David this, and he’s apologised and that’s that! I’ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge. But thank you for all your lovely messages and all the kind words.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am.
