Jon Cryer made a surprise appearance in Charlie Sheen’s 2025 documentary aka Charlie Sheen. But Sheen still hasn’t spoken to his former co-star, despite feeling like they no longer have bad blood between them. “Every time this comes up, I say I’m going to [reach out to him] and I never do,” Sheen explained to People on April 22. “I don’t like to bother people. But I think Jon would be open to that,” he says, adding, “Jon’s a lovely man and a very talented guy.” He joked about Cryer not being in attendance at an FYC panel promoting the documentary. “Jon’s not here tonight, is he? No, he’s a little grudgy like a decade and a half later. I’m like, ‘Dude, what the fuck? I got over it. What are we doing, Jon?’” he laughed. “No, but it was very sweet, very cool that everybody showed up like they did, because they could have easily said, ‘Go fuck yourself. I’m not interested. I lived it. I don’t need to talk about it again.’ And I would have been, ‘OK, that’s fine.’ But they didn’t, and they stepped up.”

Sheen previously said he did not personally call Cryer to participate in the documentary because he did not have Cryer’s phone number; director Andrew F. Renzi invited Cryer to participate. “When I saw everything that Jon spoke about, so honestly and very compassionately, I wrote to him and I said, ‘Hey, thank you for your contributions, and I’m sorry we didn’t connect personally. I hope to see you around the campus,’” Sheen explained to People when the documentary came out last September. “I’m thinking I wrote to the wrong number. It’s not like Jon did not respond. He’s super responsible like that. So if you’re reading this, Jon, DM me your new number!”

It doesn’t seem like Cryer is interested in making amends or becoming friends again. “We don’t have a relationship anymore,” Cryer told Bill Maher last summer on Club Random With Bill Maher. “I wish him the best. We have some mutual friends still, and I’ve heard he’s been sober for a while, which is great to hear.” Maybe Sheen should let Cryer come to him instead.
