Two people are waking up €500k richer

Friday night’s EuroMillions draw delivered a double dose of good news, with two players each matching five numbers to claim €17,902 apiece

Irish EuroMillions players are being urged to check their tickets from last night’s draw after two lucky punters both scooped huge five-figure prizes.

In total, over 43,000 players in Ireland won prizes in last night’s EuroMillions and Plus games, including two lucky punters who both matched five correct numbers in the main draw to claim €17,902 apiece.

The winning numbers for the Friday, April 24, main EuroMillions draw were: 25, 26, 30, 40, 45 and the Lucky Stars were 01 and 05.

The National Lottery has confirmed that one of the winning tickets was purchased as a Quick Pick on the day of the draw from The Little Shop, Kilree Street, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.

An appeal has been issued to EuroMillions players in Carlow, with the lucky ticketholder advised to sign the back of their stub and keep it safe.

And the celebrations didn’t stop there. An online player in Co Galway also matched five numbers in Friday night’s draw to secure a €17,902 win.

Lotto bosses have revealed that the ticket was purchased online on Friday, April 17. An email notification has been sent to the online winner encouraging them to check their account.

Both players are advised to contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.

As there was no winner of the €17,000,000 jackpot on offer, Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €25 million.

These latest wins come after a lucky Irish Lotto player’s life took a stunning turn after they won a life-changing prize in the most recent EuroDreams draw.

The punter secured the Tier 2 EuroDreams prize, which guarantees them monthly tax-free payments of €2,000 spread over five years, after matching six numbers in Thursday night’s (April 23) draw.
