Twin brothers have been discovered dead in each other’s arms following an electrocution incident.
Francesco and Giacomo Fierloni, 22, were fatally electrocuted after inadvertently touching high-voltage cables with a metal pole. It is understood that one of the brothers perished while attempting to rescue the other.
The young men from Magione, Italy were preparing their pet birds ahead of the upcoming hunting season when the tragedy unfolded. A pigeon reportedly settled on cables carrying approximately 20,000 volts, roughly 10 metres above the ground.
One of the twins used a carbon-fibre pole, typically used in hunting, in a bid to coax the bird down.
It is understood he accidentally made contact with the live wires, which killed him instantly, reports the Mirror.
His brother is believed to have attempted to assist, but died in the same way.

When they failed to arrive home later that evening and did not respond to their phones, their father Giorgio, set out to find them.
The twins’ whereabouts were traced and they were discovered lying together in long grass beneath an embankment.
The brothers were locked in each other’s embrace, the Sun reported.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate the twins.
Francesco and Giacomo were merely a month away from their 23rd birthdays.
Town mayor Massimo Lagetti knew the twins personally. Lagetti said: “They were two exceptional young men who worked with great dedication and were always extremely kind.”
“It’s a tragedy that is very hard to come to terms with.”
Their parents told local media: “Francesco and Giacomo were our strength, our present and our future.”
“They were born together and they left together, united by a bond that went beyond brotherhood.”
Authorities have now launched an investigation to establish the precise circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
