Sinn Féin has called for a permanent cut to the Universal Social Charge (USC) and the complete removal of carbon tax on home heating oil and green diesel.

Addressing party members at its annual ard fheis in Belfast on Saturday, Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald hit out at the Coalition, saying the Irish public had been “left high and dry by a Government that simply refuses to listen”.
