Adare Manor will host the 2027 Ryder Cup
Adare residents have been notified they will receive free tickets for the Ryder Cup next year.
The 2027 edition of the bennial men’s golf tournament will take place at Adare Manor golf course in Co Limerick between September 17 and September 19.
Ryder Cup Europe has ringfenced a number of tickets per day for Adare residents, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, RTÉ has reported.
Adare households were recently informed of the opportunity through letters sent by the organisers.
In a letter, signed by chief Ryder Cup officer with Ryder Cup Europe, Richard Atkinson, the organisers said their ambition is for Adare to obtain economic benefits from the tournament.
They also acknowledged that the construction and delivery of the event will impact the daily life in the host village, which they said they will try to minimise, adding that they appreciate the cooperation and suport from the local community.

“As a gesture of this appreciation, we would like to offer you two complimentary tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup, which can be redeemed for any of the days, Tuesday to Sunday,” the letter reads.
It comes after the tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup made available on Friday exclusively for Irish fans sold out under an hour, with more than 150,000 people from Ireland pre-registered for early access.
Those who were unsuccessful in securing tickets will have a second chance in the full public ballot on June 3.
Mr Atkinson said: “The demand from fans across the island of Ireland has been unprecedented.”
“We know that Irish golf fans are amongst the most enthusiastic in the world and this is yet another reminder of that.”
Meanwhile, pricing for the tickets has also drawn criticism, with daily general admission priced at €499 each.
