There is a moment, deep into a new feature length documentary on Iron Maiden, which shows how huge they were on the other side of the Iron Curtain.

It was 1984, and the band – already among the giants of metal – were touring Poland. The scenes that greeted them everywhere they went were like a hard-rock version of Beatlemania.
