Campaign group calls for inheritance tax system reform

Revenue collected almost €9m after pursuing people in inheritance tax audits last year, new figures show.
Children are allowed to inherit €400,000 tax-free from a parent. Any amount above this is taxed at 33pc, but the tax has been the subject of a high-profile reform campaign because lower tax-free thresholds apply to other relatives.
