Meath ran out worthy winners in Tullamore
MEATH qualified for the semi-finals of the Leinster minor football championship with a very convincing win over reigning champions Offaly in Tullamore on Tuesday evening – though the final scoreline hides the full story of the game and is harsh on an Offaly side who were only 0-11 to 0-8 behind inside the closing quarter.
Meath were in a strong position when they went in leading by 0-8 to 0-2 at half time. Offaly worked hard but Meath dominated possession and were clearly the better side in the first half.
