Three people, including a teenage boy, have been arrested in connection with the investigation into an attack on a police station in Northern Ireland in March.

A “crude but viable” bomb was driven into Lurgan police station in Co Armagh on Monday 30 March.

The device, which was the size of a briefcase, had been placed in the boot of a fast-food delivery driver’s car and he was told to drive it to the station.

Police said that a 48-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were arrested this morning under terrorism legislation and have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

A 39-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, obstructing police and assisting an offender.

All three were arrested in the Lurgan area, where searches are ongoing.
