Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street schemer Jodie Ramsey worms her way into Daniel Osbourne’s home next week – sneakily using his secret to buy herself more time in Weatherfield.
The atmosphere at the Platt house becomes toxic in upcoming scenes, with the family bickering over Jodie recently trying to pose as her sister Shona in bed with David.

Jodie enraged her sibling’s husband with her antics and subsequent accusations. While Shona remains rattled by the conflicting stories from the pair next week, David is adamant that Jodie needs to leave. The trouble is, she has nowhere to live, until she stumbles upon a solution…
“If David thinks he can chase Jodie out of Weatherfield, he can think again,” warns our Corrie spy. “Right now, Jodie might have lost a battle, but the war is still on and she’s going to fight him.
“All she needs to do is find a place to regroup and come up with a new plan. It turns out that place could be Daniel’s flat…”
While the Platt drama has been unfolding across the road, devastated Daniel has been holed up with just a bottle of booze for company. He’s in a state of deep depression after being used as cover by paedophile Megan Walsh and has fibbed to his family that he’s in the Lake District taking a break.
However, when Jodie lets herself into his flat with a spare key, Daniel is outraged and demands to know what she’s playing at. Jodie’s quick to find a lie to cover her tracks, though Daniel’s not in the business of trusting people right now and orders her to go. But Jodie isn’t going to let a prime opportunity pass her by…

“Daniel is no match for Jodie’s machinations and she’s quick to threaten him,” continues our source. “She needs a place to stay, and he needs her to keep his current location a secret. It’s not long before Daniel is dropping the strop and listening to Jodie’s tales of woe, as she offers him some life advice.”
Coronation Street’s producer Kate Brooks recently teased: “Jodie’s story will dovetail off into Daniel’s story. An unlikely little friendship will be formed, which I don’t think many people will see coming, but it’s a really different insight into what makes them both tick.
“For the first time, Daniel’s able to be truthful about how he feels. Similarly, Jodie’s able to be quite truthful with Daniel, because he’s in quite a dark place. There are some interesting dynamics between them.”
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
