Several League of Ireland captains and other leading figures in Irish football have signed an open letter calling on the FAI to boycott the Nations League fixtures against Israel later this year.
The Irish Sport for Palestine group has today launched the ‘Stop The Game’ campaign, imploring the association to refuse to play the two games against Israel amid the current war in Gaza and humanitarian crisis that has followed, with the likes of Shamrock Rovers captain Roberto Lopes and his Bohemians’ skipper Dawson Devoy throwing their weight behind the initiative.
