Tesco has opened the doors to its brand‑new Superstore in Northside Shopping Centre, creating 65 new jobs.
Open from 8am to 9pm daily, the 20,000 sq. ft store offers customers a bright, modern retail space with a range of Irish food and drink products, alongside local favourites from brands such as Cadbury’s, Freshways, Butlers Chocolates and Golden Bake.
Shoppers can also enjoy the latest F&F fashion ranges, an in‑store bakery, an off‑licence, and a DRS machine. The store features energy‑efficient lighting and modern fridges with doors to help reduce energy use.
Store Manager Pamela Geraghty, who has been with Tesco for 28 years, said: “The response from the community has been fantastic.
“People are excited to see us open, and we’re just as excited to welcome them in. With a great mix of branded and Tesco own‑label products, many sourced from Irish suppliers, we’re confident there’s something here for everyone.”
Through the Tesco Community Fund, the store’s first donations will go to Scoil Fhursa (Kilmore), St Joseph’s NS (Bonnybrook) and St Francis Senior School (Priorswood).
The store will also participate in Tesco’s food surplus redistribution programme, working with FoodCloud and OLIO Food Waste Heroes to ensure good food doesn’t go to waste. In addition, the team will support Tesco’s charity partner, the Children’s Health Foundation, which helps sick children in CHI hospitals at Crumlin, Connolly, Temple Street and Tallaght.
