Legends

Netflix
I love Alan Partridge, but I love Steve Coogan even more when he plays a sarky character from the 1990s. To the premise! As drugs flood into the streets of 1990s Britain to facilitate the riotous club culture at the time, a team of civil servants is thrust undercover to topple the gangs behind it. In a top-secret operation, a small team of customs employees are sent undercover. Their task – to infiltrate Britain’s most dangerous drug gangs. There is one glaring catch in this untold true story: these were not trained spies. Far from it, in fact. They were your everyday men and women, plucked from ordinary lives around the UK, put through a basic training regime, and then tasked with building new identities in the criminal underworld. Their collective codename was Legends. And the accompanying soundtrack for this little number is equally as legendary. Charlotte Ritchie, Tom Hughes and Tom Burke also feature.
