There are several people under suspicion after the villain’s death in the ITV soap

Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a ‘clue’ to who killed Theo Silverton as Gary Windass became the latest suspect to be questioned by the police.
As those who follow the ITV soap know, the villain was murdered following a long reign of terror in Weatherfield as he mentally and physically abused his husband, Todd Grimshaw, during their 13-month relationship.
Viewers recently witnessed the heartbreaking moment that Todd bravely gave a statement to the police about what he had been subjected to by his husband following a brutal attack, which later saw him in hospital with multiple confirmed injuries.

Theo’s death, which has been confirmed as a murder investigation, has now left not only Todd, but his loved ones, George Shuttleworth, Christina Boyd, and Summer Spellman, among the possible murder suspects, alongside Gary Windass and Theo’s ex-wife, Danielle Silverton, who could also be guilty of his deadly demise.
While Todd has had to answer some questions from DS Lisa Connor-Swain, it was George who was first to be taken in for questioning, where he let slip that although he was at home for most of the evening, when Christina headed out to rescue Todd, who was being chased by a menacing Theo, he did go on a walk alone, and didn’t see anyone.

It meant Lisa had enough to keep him in overnight, and during Wednesday’s (May 6) episode, he was seen being quizzed by the detective once again, this time becoming increasingly irate as he tried to refute her accusations.
As Thursday’s (May 7) episode arrived, it was Gary who ended up under suspicion. He was quizzed by Lisa and DC Kit Green about his whereabouts on the day of the murder, as well as demanding the CCTV footage from his yard.
It showed another figure lurking in the background, and, quick to assume it is Gary, fans think it could be incriminating as the time stamp on the picture suggested he was lying about his whereabouts. Gary says that the footage automatically wipes at the end of the day, but Lisa and Kit say let them know they have someone who should be able to retrieve it for them, and as viewers know, it’ll show him smashing up Theo’s van hours before his death.
Later, Kit reveals that Gary’s wife, Maria, has confirmed his alibi, saying she was with him at the builder’s yard that evening. She explains to her husband that she said she made Gary delete the CCTV footage after the couple had a private encounter, in a bid to keep Gary smashing up Theo’s van secret.
But it was as the episode drew to a close that Sally and Tim Metcalfe were seen looking at photos from Lisa and Carla Connor’s wedding, which took place before Theo’s murder, when a selfie appeared of them outside on the cobbles, close to the scaffolding where the abuser was found.
