Following in the footsteps of the likes of Mr Bates vs the Post Office and I Fought the Law, ITV’s latest true crime drama puts the spotlight on another major case that shocked the nation. Daniel Mays plays John Worboys, who used his profession as a taxi driver to prey on women and, in 2009, was convicted for sexually assaulting 12 women. Rightfully so, the drama puts the focus on the ordeal of his victims – played by Aimée-Ffion Edwards and Aasiya Shah – and how the Metropolitan Police failed to thoroughly investigate their allegations. Arriving on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday 10th May. Continues at the same time on Monday 11th May.

Lesley Manville’s 2022 film is making its way to Netflix and it’s exactly the sort of viewing we all need right now. Lesley is superb as the titular Mrs Harris, a widowed cleaner in 1950s London who falls in love with a couture Dior dress and decides she must have it. That means embarking on an adventure to Paris, where she ends up having quite the influence on the fashion house. A charming, joy-filled film. Arriving on Netflix on Monday 11th May.
