Offaly hurling captain Charlie Mitchell faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines having undergone an emergency procedure last night in the wake of the Faithful’s dramatic draw with Kilkenny in the Leinster SHC.
An Offaly GAA statement this morning said: “Following yesterday’s game against Kilkenny, Charlie Mitchell felt unwell. After assessment by our medical team Charlie went to the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
