Ben Kingsley (The Thursday Murder Club, Wonder Man), Max Minghella (The Handmaid’s Tale, The Social Network) and Pekka Strang (Mister 8, Dogs Don’t Wear Pants) are rounding out the cast of HBO‘s The White Lotus for Season 4. Details regarding their recurring roles are under wraps.
The fourth season of the Mike White-created series will follow a new group of White Lotus hotel guests and employees over the span of a week, taking place during the Cannes Film Festival. Shooting is currently underway in France.
“Early on, Mike talked about wanting to do Season 4 as the life of an artist – the loneliness and the pain,” teased executive producer David Bernad while at Canneseries last month. “That’s a throughline that runs throughout the season. As we located the show at the Cannes Film Festival, this idea of fame popped up, and who has the world’s attention? Who can grab it, and who is the plus-one in a relationship? What are the things that satisfy us? Is it the love of an intimate partner, the love of strangers? What do we prioritize in people?”
The Season 4 ensemble cast also includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Laura Dern, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz. Additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet.
White serves as the creator, writer and executive producer. Bernad and Mark Kamine also EP.
Kingsley is represented by CAA, Independent Talent Group, and Stone, Genow, Smelkinson; Minghella is represented by CAA and Anonymous Content; Strang is represented by Actors in Scandinavia and Artist International Group.
