In the months and years before being shot dead in the bedroom of his south Dublin home, Liam ‘Blackie’ Murray, who had survived a previous attempt on his life, was subjected to repeated threats.
A dispute over a property purchase has long been seen as a possible motive for the murder with a well-known businessman and a former IRA bomber identified as the main suspects in both the threats and the murder itself.
