The Late Late Show season has come to an end, and so has Patrick Kielty’s contract.
The three-year contract, which paid Patrick €250,000 a year, has expired, and it’s unclear whether he will return for the next season.
So, who may be the next presenter to take on the show, you might ask?
According to the bookies Ladbrokes, the comedian, writer and RTÉ Radio One presenter, Oliver Callan, is the new favourite to take on the hosting position (Evens).
Next in line is the dynamic Gavan Reilly, Political Correspondent for Virgin Media News (3/1).
However, there is also hope that it may be a female presenter.
2FM Radio presenter Doireann Garrihy is among the favourites for the famous chat show at (5/1).
Miriam O’Callaghan is also speculated to possibly switch radio and prime time for the Friday night entertainment show (7/1).
Presenter of the new Celebrity Super Spaces, Dermot Bannon, is still at 8/1, level with Liveline host Kieran Cuddihy.
TV and radio presenter Kathryn Thomas has also been name checked in the gossip mill as a popular pick (10/1).
