BETTY MURPHY (née McDermott) Gortgallon, Ballyleague, Lanesboro and formerly of Carkfree, Ballinameen, Boyle, Co Roscommon passed away suddenly on May 11th, 2026.
Predeceased by her beloved parents John and Frances and by her father-in-law James. She will be very sadly missed by her husband Joe, sisters Una, Bernie, Angela and Catherine, brothers Seamus, Anthony, Francis and Padraig, mother-in-law Bridie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of good friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Wednesday evening from 5 o’c until 7 o’c followed by removal to St Mary’s Church, Lanesborough (N39 TN99). Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday morning at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in Cloontuskert Cemetery.
