U2 delighted fans by filming the video for their new track Street of Dreams in Mexico City on Tuesday.

The band – The Edge, Bono, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr – were seen atop a school bus graffitied by the Mexican artist Chavis Mármol as the cameras rolled – and the Tricolour flew alongside the Mexican flag on a balcony above.

Street of Dreams is taken from U2’s “yet-to-be announced next studio album, due for release later this year”.

This week sees Mexico City host the 2026 Street Child World Cup, with 30 teams from across the globe in the Mexican capital for the competition, which runs until 14 May.

“It’s a little NGO with a big kick for kids with all of the talent and none of the access,” said U2’s Larry Mullen Jr.

“Our band are proud supporters.”
