This ethereal, spooky sculpture garden at Jupiter Artland is by artist Laura Ford. The sculptures show ghostly girls standing amongst the trees with their hair covering their faces. There is something obviously horror-movie-esque about them, but they also feel like friendly ghosts.
Running into this sculpture garden at night, with no idea why it’s there, would be a wild experience. I can imagine that, from afar and in certain lighting, they might be mistaken for supernatural entities drifting across the forest floor. This looks like a fun place to visit.

“Hidden among woodland paths, the small figures depict young girls frozen in emotional states that suggest grief, anger, or fear. Their ghostlike presence contrasts sharply with the natural surroundings, creating an unsettling yet human atmosphere. The work explores childhood vulnerability, memory, and tension, encouraging visitors to reflect on innocence, isolation, and the boundary between playfulness and distress.”
