The driver of a hit-and-run in Ballymun that left a teenager in serious condition has been identified.
Gardai confirmed tonight that they have interviewed the driver and recovered the vehicle involved in the collision. The investigation into the incident continues.
The teenage motorcyclist was seriously injured after he was hit on Santry Avenue in Ballymun on April 6. He was rushed to the Mater Hospital with serious injuries.
Gardai have now thanked the public and the media for their help in identifying the vehicle.
A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí in Ballymun continue to investigate a serious hit-and-run road traffic collision that occurred on Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin on the night of Monday 6th April, 2026. The driver has since been identified and interviewed and the vehicle recovered.
“Investigations are ongoing. An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance. No further information is available at this time.”
