Sydney Sweeney is sparking major backlash.
Her HBO show “Euphoria” is known for pushing boundaries, but some critics think season three’s kinky content has gone way too far.
And former “Boy Meets World” actress Maitland Ward is one of them.
The Disney star turned pornstar — who reportedly earns six figures monthly — says Sweeney’s character Cassie has crossed a line.
Specifically, Cassie’s OnlyFans storyline featuring an infantilizing fetish.
In an interview with TMZ, Ward called out the content as a direct violation of the platform’s actual guidelines.
“There’s all sorts of stuff that you can’t do,” Ward told the outlet.
“The whole child-baby thing is so disgusting You just can’t go into that whole underage thing like that.”
She clarified, “I mean, you can do it to an extent if it’s very, very playful, like, you’re an adult being childlike or something. But just the way it was handled was so gross and it’s just disgusting and vile.”
For anyone who isn’t caught up on “Euphoria,” Ward is most likely referring to a scene in which Cassie (Sweeney) is dressed in pigtails, wearing a sheer dress, and sucking on a pacifier.
During the interview, Ward also warned about the broader implications of normalizing that kind of content, saying, “You don’t want pedophilia anywhere near pornography.”
She argues the entire Cassie storyline misrepresents OnlyFans creators rather than celebrating them.
Ward feels the character’s over-the-top behavior — like drinking from a dog bowl while in costume — amounts to mockery.
“It’s saying how weird and creepy they are,” she said.
“There’s so many creators who are really working hard to build their brands every day, and this is really disingenuous.”
Sydney Leathers, another adult content creator, echoed similar concerns about Sweeney’s “Euphoria” storyline in an interview with Variety.
“There’s just a lot that’s ridiculous and cartoonish about it,” Leathers said.
She added, “There’s so much that they have her doing that is not even allowed on OnlyFans, and that alone is infuriating: the age-play stuff where she’s dressed as a baby in a diaper, for example.”
“Credit card processors have very strict rules that you have to abide by, and the rules are getting stricter all the time,” Leathers explained.
