All Rights Entertainment has boarded international sales on “The Cop and the Assassin,” an action thriller starring Olga Kurylenko and Nina Bergman set to begin production in Thailand this November.

Kurylenko, whose credits include “Black Widow,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Oblivion” and “Hitman,” will play a former SAS operative turned assassin hunting down the crime boss responsible for her family’s murder. Bergman, known for “Doom: Annihilation,” “The Outsider” and “Hellboy,” also stars, with additional international casting to be announced.

Directing is Éric Valette, whose credits span the cult horror title “Malefique,” the Hollywood remake “One Missed Call,” the thriller “The Prey,” the action series “The Transporter” and the Netflix original “Lupin.” The film will shoot across multiple locations in the country.

The story draws Kurylenko’s character deep into jungle terrain along the Myanmar border after she partners with a weary Thai cop. Their respective drives – vengeance for her, justice for him – build toward a final confrontation with the syndicate.

“We have been looking for the right project for Eric and we are thrilled to collaborate with him on ‘The Cop and The Assassin,’” said producer Fabrice Lambot. “He is an exceptional filmmaker who has built a career blending visceral suspense with sleek commercial filmmaking.”

The film is produced by Lambot for French outfit Phase 4 Productions, whose previous titles include “The Soul Eater” and “Squealers,” alongside Julien Loeffler and James Kermack for U.K. company Featuristic Films (“Breathe Deep,” “Salvable”), in co-production with Leo Maidenberg for Place du Marché Productions. Living Films is providing production services in Thailand, with credits on international productions including “The Gray Man,” “Thirteen Lives,” “Ms. Marvel” and the FX series “Alien: Earth.”

“It’s exciting to shoot an action noir film in Thailand with fleshed out characters and a strong sense of the country’s vibe and energy,” Valette said.

All Rights Entertainment described the project as “the kind of elevated international action thriller that travels globally, combining a premium cast, a visionary filmmaker, and a highly commercial revenge-driven story set against the unique backdrop of Thailand.”
