There could be some big moments ahead on Coronation Street after some recent teasers from the cast.
The Mirror caught up with Beth Nixon, Olivia Frances Brown and Jonathan Howard recently, ahead of the murder week twist that saw Theo Silverton killed off. Their characters Megan Walsh, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster also faces the chop.
But now that we know their characters have survived, it seems there could be new twists. Their soap futures may have been given away in some comments made to us by the cast.
From child groomer Megan’s potential comeuppance to Carl’s possible redemption, our chats with the stars certainly dropped some hints. Here’s what they had to say…

Megan’s comeuppance
After Megan was finally exposed, this week we saw Will Driscoll report her to the police. Megan has been grooming Will for months, and after Will realised she had been sexually abusing him, he spoke out.
After being questioned by the police, Megan was arrested while next week she is bailed. It was reported that the cast involved in the storyline were spotted filming court scenes recently.
So will Megan face justice in court? Beth told us that Megan had to be punished, as she confirmed her character was unredeemable. Pretty much confirming an exit, she was aware that fans want a prison exit for the character, as she heavily teased that justice, one way or another, would be served.
Kate Brooks also confirmed the soap would be giving Megan her retribution the right way. But will Will get justice?
Theo’s shocking killer

Jonathan, who plays Carl, told us that fans will not expect the killer of Theo. Jodie actress Olivia also teased fans might be shocked. So, does this rule out the six names suspects?
Surely if it was one of them, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise. Then again some of those suspects, including George and Todd, would be a bit unexpected compared to other suspects. Corrie boss Kate Brooks confirmed June or July will be the killer reveal.
Carl’s redemption

Jonathan also spoke to us about what the future holds for Carl. After his attack at the hands of Ronnie, he’s in hospital recovering.
In a heart-to-heart with his mother Debbie, Carl promised he loved her and it seemed he wanted to change. Jonathan also wants this for his character, while he hopes Carl will “still be a brat”.
So it’s clear Carl could finally be set for a redemption arc, as there’s no other way forward for him. But amid rumours he could be leaving the show after a cryptic social media post, will we be saying goodbye to Carl?
Jodie’s sad past

Jodie actress Olivia dropped some big hints about what could be ahead for the character. She’s currently hiding out with Daniel in his flat, after trying to come between Shona and David.
With this drama set to continue, Olivia hopes you will see Jodie and Shona grow closer. She teased they are very bonded and that any grievances might be temporary.
Olivia also suggested Jodie’s past with her dad is absolutely to blame for her being so messed up. So there is a secret and a history to be explored there, on top of her mystery trinket box.
Olivia massively hinted that this box could be found and her games could be rumbled. She also teased every item in the box has its own story, so we’re expecting plenty more twists and turns where Jodie is concerned.
