Clodagh McKenna has revealed that Lisa Dwan has quietly tied the knot, marrying her fiancé, Paul Henninger, in a low-key ceremony on Sunday.

The celebrity chef broke the news on social media as she excitedly revealed that the MobLand actress was set to celebrate her nuptials. ‘Today is a very special day as one of my gorgeous friends, Lisa Dwan, the fabulous Irish actress, is getting married.’

Clodagh beamed from ear to ear as she spoke about her close pal’s special day, adding: ‘I’m very excited!’ The celebration appears to be being held in London, though the star didn’t confirm the location.

She made for a gorgeous wedding guest, opting for a flowy, peach number, perfect for a spring ceremony. Clodagh secured her dress from Queens of Archive, while her gold sandals were purchased from Sézane, and she got her matching handbag from Terry de Havilland.

‘Off to the chapel cos she’s getting married, married @dwanlisa,’ Clodagh penned, alongside a string of orange heart emojis.

Lisa hasn’t shared any snaps of her special day yet, though she has posed with her soon-to-be hubby in the past. The couple’s little girl, Luna, who they welcomed in 2021, is likely front and centre as flower girl while celebrating her mum and dad’s special day.

Paul’s older daughter, Lola, whom he shares with a previous partner, is also likely playing a special part in the nuptials.

The beautiful bride and groom’s love story began in lockdown. The Westmeath woman previously opened up to the Irish Daily Mail about meeting Paul.

‘I’ve been blessed with the most loving, amazing family that I never thought was on the cards for me. I thought that was the sacrifice I’d have to make,’ she confessed.

‘I had been teaching in Princeton, and I was in London on the plane about to go back,’ recalled Lisa, who had just finished filming Bloodlands. ‘I got what I can only describe as an instinct to get off that plane, so I asked if I could take my bags off, and I left.

‘Paul [Henninger], who was just a friend at the time, had rang me that morning and asked me how I was getting from JFK to where I was going. He said he wanted to book me a car and told me he wanted to make sure I was ok.’

‘We went into lockdown together. His daughter, Lola, whom I adore, came over, and we shared meals and spent time together. We fell in love over a million cups of tea,’ she says of their serendipitous romance.

‘My life was spent in the air and travelling,’ she says. ‘I had genuinely no interest in being in a relationship, and I thought having a baby was incongruous…

‘I can say the only thing that drew me to Paul was his kindness. It’s still the foundation of our relationship, and we’re still, you know, staying up too late like we did last night chatting.’
