THE weather played ball and the public duly showed up for a super Saturday of fun at the Tralee Food Festival.

From early on there was a great atmosphere at the Island of Geese, the Abbey Car Park and The Square to enjoy the tasty treats, cookery demos and entertainment.

The fun continues today and while there may be a few showers, you can duck into the marquees for shelter until they pass.

Like yesterday, you can go to The Tech Co. on Dominick Street (V92 XDR6) to pick up your tokens for the Taste Trail. See https://traleefoodfestival.com/ for the trail map.

The food markets at the Island of Geese are open while there’s a kiddies zone, puppet show, music and more.

Cookery demos in the marquee in The Square feature cake decorating with Geraldine Lynch at 12.30pm, chef Max Bagaglini from Convivium in Tralee will be cooking Italian dishes while at 3pm there’s a Celebrity Cook-Off featuring Doireann O’Connor and her dad Charley.

Over in the Abbey Car park, the horseshoe of food trucks will no doubt be busy again serving anything your heart’s desire while there’s also music on stage (see programme below).

As well as the festival, there’s also Office Chair Racing on the Mall at 2pm where teachers from primary schools will be battling it out, all in aid of Kerry Mental Health Association. Scroll down for programme and photos from yesterday…
