Alex Rodriguez reunited with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, at their daughter Ella’s high school graduation. The 50-year-old baseball icon shared photos from Ella’s special day via Instagram on Wednesday, May 20–and Cynthia appears in a few snapshots.
Rodriguez captioned the post, “Can’t believe you’re all grown up. Congratulations Ella, I am so proud of you in every way. Can’t wait to see what you accomplish at UNC 💕.”

The first photo featured Rodriguez hugging Ella, 18, against the backdrop of baby blue-and-white University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill balloons. Elsewhere in the photo carousel, Scurtis, 53, posed, aptly dressed in a baby blue dress, with Ella alongside a decorated cake that read, “Congrats Ella!” Scurtis also appeared in a photo alongside their other daughter, Natasha, 21. (Rodriguez and Scurtis were married from 2002 to 2008. )
Rodriguez revealed that Ella would be attending UNC for college in a February Instagram post. In that photo, the pair posed on a football field alongside Scurtis. He wrote, “Ella is officially a Tar Heel 💙 I can’t put into words how proud I am of my youngest daughter for being accepted into her dream school @uncchapelhill. She has worked so incredibly hard for this and @cynthiar.3 and I couldn’t be happier for her!”

Through the years, Rodriguez has been candid about life as a girl dad.
“They’re young adults and the relationship dynamic does change a little bit,” he told People in March 2025. “I find them giving me more advice than I give them, because they’re much smarter. It’s just really great to see them develop into these strong young women with high self-esteem. I have a wonderful relationship with their mother, Cynthia [Scurtis], and I’m just really proud of the women they’re becoming.”
His recent reunion with his ex-wife comes amid news that he and girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro have split after three years of dating.

Cordeiro told TMZ, “To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families. We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.”
