A little cake shop outside the city has been praised as the home of the “best sweet treats in Cork.” A popular Cork influencer said he had “no words” for how delicious his visit to the café was.
The Menu Cakery is an Instagram-worthy cake spot in Halfway, near Ballinhassig. Cork man Greg Cahill shared his visit to the bakery with his more than 10k Instagram followers. The glowing review has been watched by over 77,000 users.

The cake shop, which opened in 2022, is hugely popular with over 60,000 social media followers and rave reviews online. The small café is renowned for its huge variety of delicious, sweet, and savoury treats and often has a queue out the door.
Cork influencer Greg, who has over 20,000 followers across his social media pages, visited the cake spot with a friend and gave mouth-watering reviews, repeating the phrase “Oh my days.” Even going as far as to say: “This place has the best sweet treats in Cork.”

The pair sampled loads of options in the viral video, including a loaded toastie and a box of desserts. Greg said he had “no words” for how good the food was, and particularly loved the red velvet mini cake and the caramel slice. He went as far as to say he has been dreaming about them since he tried them.

In the video, Greg asked his thousands of followers, “If you’re from Cork and you still haven’t been to this place, what are you doing?” One fan agreed, commenting: “Epic little cakes. Nowhere in Cork beats this.”
Baker Petra Tarczali opened the doors of her popular cake shop in 2022, and it has become one of the most popular spots for sweet treats in Cork. They can even deliver a box of brownies to your door.

They also offer custom occasion cakes – and even make their own Dubai chocolate bars! New on the menu are ‘split cups’ for when you just can’t decide which flavour of coffee would go best with your sweet treat of choice.
The cakery team say they are the “home of all boujee, too good to eat, sweet and savoury treats that not only look amazing, but taste incredible without added preservatives or additives.”
