Tina Fey is setting the record straight after she was spotted looking cramped in her seat next to a wide-spread Timothée Chalamet at Madison Square Garden.

The 56-year-old comedian attended a New York Knicks game on April 28 and was photographed sitting courtside next to Knicks superfan Chalamet, 30, whose legs were spread wide throughout most of the sporting event, which he attended with his longtime girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.

“I should start by saying that Timothée Chalamet was nothing but lovely. Super friendly,” Fey shared of the experience on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce. “Kylie was friendly and delightful. We had a great time. He was joking around with Tracy [Morgan].”

The Saturday Night Live alum added that she was not offended by Chalamet’s seated stance during the game.

“It wasn’t until the next day that I saw all these manspreading things,” she said. “But I will say, you’ve got to remember, so for every amount that he’s sitting like this and manspreading, I’m doing the opposite. I’ve got a big ole can. As Amy Poehler would say, ‘God is fair.’ Timothée’s legs are in the front, my big ole can is taking the back. We had no beef. We had no beef. It was all good and the Knicks won so everybody was happy.”

Fey explained that she attends the games as the guest of her longtime pal and 30 Rock costar, Tracy Morgan.

“There were two empty seats and I was like, ‘Tracy, I wonder who’s gonna sit by us?’ And he’s like, ‘I dunno.’ I was like, ‘Here they come, stars!’ ” Fey quipped of realizing she’d be seated with Chalamet and Jenner for the evening.

The Philadelphia native said she’s enjoyed getting into New York sports.

“I’ve been three times now with Tracy so the Internet classifies me as a Knicks fan, I’ll take it,” Fey said of MSG. “It’s really fun. That celebrity row is bananas. I’m, like, hugging Spike Lee before the game.”

She added of the electric nature of the Garden, “It’s like the whole place is trying to control the game with our energy.”

The Knicks are set to compete for an NBA title for the first time since 1999. The last time the team won a championship was in 1973.
