A monumental and trophy-winning season for Celtic that had it all.

From managerial changes, fan protests, and more Celtic statements than actual good performances, in the end, the cream rose to the top, once more!

67 Hail Hail asked our TalkingPoints users to ‘Name Celtic’s best and worst player this season?’

In truth, given how chaotic everything was, there simply isn’t a straight answer, but the likes of Liam Scales, Daizen Maeda, and Benjamin Nygren emerged on the positive side.

But the now-retired Kasper Schmeichel should look away now.

Name Celtic’s best and worst player this season…🤔🤨🍀

Maeda did get a few shouts, perhaps not more than Scales, but the Japan star’s situation is interesting.

Let’s be honest, Maeda drove Celtic to the title by scoring in every post-split fixture match, including the crucial goal against Hearts.

But for large parts of the season, he was poor, and there was still a hangover from him wanting to leave last summer. That’s probably why nobody could put his name down definitively as the best player.

One TalkingPoints user, Gegillies31, noted that Scales was his ‘favourite’ player, as well as Celtic’s most ‘consistent’, with the Irishman also getting his flowers from the likes of Dhxw448m5f and StephenHardie1970.

As for Schmeichel, he isn’t in many fans’ good books, as the likes of McGregor795 and Scorc3529 were quick to put his name forward as the worst player during Celtic’s double-winning campaign.
