The Betsy bar and restaurant on Main Street in Swords, Dublin, announced on Tuesday that they were closing down.
The bar and restaurant first opened in 2018.
They shared on social media and said: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the immediate closure of The Betsy Bar & Restaurant due to unforeseen circumstances.
“This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and one that has not been made lightly.
“Over the years, The Betsy has been more than just a bar and restaurant – it has been a place where friendships were formed, celebrations were shared, and countless memories were made.
“For that, we will be forever grateful.”
Many users on Instagram were shocked by the news.
One user said: “So sorry to hear this, we had such a great time there any time we were there. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us. Wishing all the staff the very best.”
