The incident happened at around 9.30am.
This is the moment a man targets the entrance to a busy supermarket with a volley of kicks – in broad daylight.
The incident happened at a Supervalu store in north County Dublin early on Thursday morning – and was caught on camera. It happened just before 9.30am at the Supervalu in Donabate.
Footage of the incident shows the man kicking at the closed doors of the shop four times, while staff look on in horror. He then pauses and walks away – before coming back to the store.
This time he walks back to the shop window – which appears to have already been broken in the incident – and launches two more kicks at it.
The window is already damaged and pieces of glass are seen falling to the floor.
The man then fled the scene – but was later arrested by gardai. Gardai told the Irish Mirror a man was in custody in Swords Station over the incident on Thursday.

A spokesman told us: “Shortly before 9:30am on Thursday, 4th June 2026, Gardaí responded to reports of an incident at a retail store in Donabate Town Centre, Co. Dublin.
“During the incident, damage was caused to the store’s windows.
“No injuries were reported. A man in his 30s fled the scene on foot and was subsequently arrested for alleged criminal damage and public order offences. He was taken to Swords Garda Station.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
The window was clearly damaged in the incident.
Supervalu told The Irish Mirror in a statement it was aware of the incident.
A spokesman told us: “We are aware of an incident at SuperValu Donabate. Our immediate focus is on supporting the store owner and colleagues at this time.
“As this matter is currently being investigated by An Garda Síochána, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.”
