The latest powerhouse for mobile gamers has landed in the shape of RedMagic 11S Pro.

The firm’s new flagship smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version SoC (system-on-a-chip), innovative Aquacore liquid cooling (that the firm said is upgraded here), a powerful 24,000 RPM fan and a large all-screen 6.85in display with no notch or punch-hole camera.

It offers superior sustained performance to many more expensive rivals, but for the cost of a mid-range smartphone.

Redmagic 11S Pro in everyday use

Redmagic 11S Pro scores the highest benchmark test scores I’ve ever seen by using a slightly faster variant of the SoC in Redmagic 11 Pro which boosts clock rates up to 4.74GHz rather than 4.6GHz. The SoC is aided by the firm’s AI RedCore 4 chip. My review unit had 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM to push things along nicely and 512GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage.

Apps launch instantly and switching apps is fast, fluid and flawless. There is no lag, no crashing and gaming is super smooth. I enjoyed putting the 11S Pro through a range of benchmark tests and its scores surpass any other 2026 Android flagships I have tested so far. It can run the most advanced games on top graphics settings at fluid frame rates for sustained periods with only minimal frame drops. The 11S Pro features what the firm said is the largest vapour chamber in a phone. It evenly distributes heat from the CPU that is then quickly transferred to the powerful internal fan (which has discrete vents on either side of the phone and keeps things cool).

Another key feature on the 11S Pro is the 7,500mAh silicon carbon battery – the largest capacity battery in any mainstream smartphone you can buy (along with Oppo Find X9 Pro and Redmagic 11 Pro). It means the handset is capable of up to two days of endurance when not being used for intensive gaming. You can recharge the power pack at up to 80W both wired and wirelessly.

Like its predecessor, Redmagic 11S Pro boasts real liquid cooling that you can actually see, including a micro-pump that pushes the liquid through the system. You can actually watch the liquid move around the phone through Nothing-style windows on the rear panel. On the 11S Pro, the liquid cooling includes enhanced heat dissipation.

The dazzling large display has no notch or punch-hole because its 16MP selfie camera is integrated into the display. The screen achieves a brightness of 1,800 nits and a refresh frame rate of 144Hz. The almost bezel-less display has an incredible 95.3 percent screen-to-body-ratio.

For a couple of years now, Redmagic’s flagship handset has sported the most refreshing and unique design and build in the smartphone market. And the minimalist industrial look thankfully remains present and correct on the 11S Pro which comes in two colours, Nightfreeze and Subzero. The glass on the rear seems more elegant and more transparent, the liquid cooling area seems slightly larger.

There is no camera bump on the rear, which is so rare on a smartphone. The rear also features RGB lights that can be customised to show different colours at different times. Redmagic 11S Pro measures 163.82 mm x 76.54mm x 8.9mm and weighs 230g. The IPX8 dust and water resistance rating means it is waterproof but hasn’t been tested for dust resistance. I like the flat sides that mean you can get a good grip on it, especially when holding in landscape orientation.

On top of all this, Redmagic 11S Pro gives you the firm’s renowned and upgraded Game Space hub (which can be opened quickly with a customisable red physical slider on the side of the unit) and the most ultra-responsive shoulder triggers.

Games Space houses the Game Lobby that serves as a hub for your games, your screenshots and your videos. You can tweak controls for the likes of touch sampling, performance and GPU settings. There is a Plugin Library and you can easily see which games work with each by tapping on the plug-in. When playing a game, you can swipe from the right side to call up a dashboard. This gives you access to the likes of recording your screen, viewing your CPU and GPU clock speeds and changing the display aspect ratio and orientation.

Other Redmagic 11S Pro features

Redmagic 11S Pro includes a USB-C Gen 3.2 port (enabling fast data transfers and 4K video output to a monitor), a 3.5mm headphone jack (for low latency immersive gaming) and NFC for contactless payments.

This handset has not got the latest WiFi 7 or Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity. There is no support for eSIM. The phone runs the latest Redmagic OS 11.5 atop Android 16 straight out of the box. There are only two years of Android OS upgrades promised but you get five years of Google security updates in the EU.

The under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is both fast and accurate. The linear vibration motor delivers excellent haptic feedback.

There are 50MP wide angle and ultrawide angle cameras on the rear that are capable of decent images in good lighting conditions and they have decent dynamic range. But few people buy gaming phones for the photography smarts so the lenses are handy to have but not the focus of much attention.

A thin screen protector is pre-installed and there is a protective case included in the box. The firm sells tougher long-lasting screen protectors on its website

Redmagic 11S Pro verdict

It’s so easy to recommend Redmagic 11S Pro for gamers. It’s the ultimate mobile gaming handset and costs far less than many rival Android flagship smartphones.

The firm has also teased its upcoming Astra 2 gaming tablet so keep an eye out for that announcement this summer.

Redmagic 11S Pro pricing and availability

Redmagic 11S Pro costs €799 from 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM or €899 for 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM.
