Dublin have progressed to round three of the All-Ireland series thanks to an 11-point win over Cavan at Breffni Park on Sunday afternoon.
With Ger Brennan back on the line after his 12-week ban, Dublin looked more like their old selves, especially in a second-half performance that saw them put Cavan to the sword.
Issues still remain, mind. Dublin gave up far too many scores in the opening period, and while it would be harsh to call them a one-man team, Con O’Callaghan certainly did his fair share of heavy lifting this afternoon.
1-7 was his tally for the day, and even with all of Dublin’s struggles, he remains one of the best in the business.
Dublin move into round 3 and are one win away from the quarter-finals, while for Cavan, their season is over.
