Big news in the Meta world: The tech conglomerate just cut the ribbon on a new line of Meta Glasses, lacking Ray-Ban or Oakley branding this time around and clocking in at a more affordable price point.
To make this joint wearable AI endeavor with EssilorLuxottica — which owns some of the most popular eyewear brands in the business — palatable for a younger audience demanding stylish tech solutions, Meta tapped none other than Kylie Jenner to design a signature pair of shades: the Meta Starfire Glasses, Kylie Edition.
Available to shop as of June 23 on the websites of Meta, Best Buy, Sunglass Hut, and Lenscrafters, the artificial intelligence glasses are priced at $399 for the Classic Black and slightly more elevated Dark Tortoise frame colors. Should you want to take advantage of Meta’s Transitions lenses (which darken outdoors under UV light and turn fully clear indoors), it will cost you $80 more.

Once you break down each element of the just-unveiled Meta Starfire Glasses, though, that three-figure expense will make complete sense.
First off, they boast a refreshingly trend-aware shape: coming to you with a slim oval profile that’s likely to be spotted on the Kardashians, Hadids, and Biebers of the world on any given day. Harnessing the latest innovations in their product category, the Starfire sunnies also grant AI assistance, voiced over by Jenner herself (previous celebrity voices for Meta have included John Cena’s, Keegan-Michael Key’s, and Awkwafina’s); comfort-optimizing features like three-way adjustable nose pads; impressive camera and video functionality for all your content creation needs; pristine sound quality; eight hours of runtime on one charge (with the compatible case doling out up to 40 more); and a touch of Kylie-coded bling in the form of a gem on the left lens.
Whether you ask your glasses to call Mom (important), help you come up with some low-lift potluck ideas, figure out the five best ways to wear a white tee, or live-translate a conversation with your airport crush, Jenner will be at your beck and call.
She even made sure to record some of her most iconic phrases, sending you off to work with a “rise and shine” in that husky, seductive, slightly lilting voice.
The Meta Starfire Glasses can also be upgraded with your unique prescription, making them FSA-eligible. You’ll be tempted to reach for the Jenner-voiced accessories — more streamlined and Gen Z–approved than their Meta predecessors — on a daily basis instead of letting them collect lint inside your handbag.

This unexpected collaboration is just a small slice of Meta’s collection of 26 distinct glasses styles released on June 23, so if you’re more partial to all things rectangular or chunky-and-oversized, there are ample options to suit those stylistic preferences, too.
Jenner might have been your longtime sartorial muse, but she can now also moonlight as your actual stylist, call connector, cooking companion, and personal secretary — in what promises to be a more fruitful partnership for the 28-year-old than the family affair that was Kylie Cosmetics x Lemme and, dare we suggest, a more headline-generating moment than her courtside ensembles for Knicks games, Timothée in tow.
Don’t miss this buzzy reveal, living at the intersection of technology and pop culture, by grabbing your very own pair of Meta Starfire Glasses (Kylie’s Version) today.
